Coming back from a blog break
It's been four months since my last blog post went up, wow I'd never been this "busy" and absent for a long while or I think so. You know, blog breaks are good for me and for my soul, it helps me discharge and recharge and start a brand new beginning whenever I feel like I want to and need to.
WHAT MAKES US TAKE A BLOG BREAK?
Lack of inspiration and creativity can come and knock at our door sometimes, and it's okay to open that door, we all have been there, it doesn't matter whether it's blogging related or in our personal lives, like in my case for example, when I have to create a collection inspired in certain topic, sometimes ideas just do not seem to flow, sometimes things are and do not feel quite right for us and make us feel so frustrated and dissapointed because we want to keep on sharing, but hey, we all get it.
We might feel lost and this tends to happen to me A LOT! if I'm honest with you, like we don't know if this is the kind of content we want to keep on sharing, or maybe we want to bring some new ideas but we think about the 'what they will say?' are they (our audience) going to like, love or hate it? and the list of questions just goes on. I personally feel like my blog has taken many directions over the years but it's because my life has changed, so have I and so has my blog too because that's what I want to transmit and express, that I've been through a change for the better, we're humans and we will be constantly changing, at least I know I will, and that's good!
Any other reason, be it health issues, personal life, etc.
WHAT I'VE LEARNED FROM BLOG BREAKS?
The internet will always be there, and so will be our readers, it's okay to to let them know you're taking a break, I personally didn't use to do this until I learned it just now. I'd simply go and make my comeback unexpectedly and would share on a new post why I were so absent, although I have noticed our readers support us and understand us, so that's good and thank YOU for being always here. :)
You can keep on being active in any other of your social media, taking a blog break for me it's just a blog break only for my blog because I lack of ideas for new posts, but that doesn't mean I'll disconnect myself from all of social media, but hey, we can do that as well. This is depending on how much we need that break and how you see it yourself and it's totally acceptable.
Setting a schedule is good, it can work to keep you organized, and get you back to writing and posting frequently again.
Looking for new content ideas or strategies, search for topics you'd like to share and write about once you're back, it can the same old content but refreshed, or the same old content with new content, keeping in mind the topics you write about on your blog.
and last but not least, it's healthy and it's OK to take a blog break at times where you feel like you have to, you can disconnect, unplug yourself and enjoy the simplest things in life, breathe the pure and fresh air, do things you've not done for a long while, like read that book you bought a while ago, spend quality time with family and friends and many other things, believe me it will be all worth it, you'll find yourself again and will come up with lots of fresh and new ideas to share once you're back in track.
How do you feel about blog break? Are you going through one now?
PS: I'm so happy to be back, so many things have happened this year and many more are about to come as well, life's been a crazy ride but a good one and I'm glad I'm enjoying to the fullest. Hope you enjoyed this post let me know your thoughts in the comment box below if you'd like to see more content like this, I'm all ears and eyes, so I hear you and read you. Yes, I mainly did it first because of lack of ideas and second Uni has got me so busy plus I feel like I missed the old days where I used to take photos and write for my blog that I keep thinking it's something I want to keep on doing, so that's why I'm back because I love and enjoy doing so! And yes, it depends as well, thank you so much for your comment! Have a lovely day! xx
DeleteBlog breaks are definitely okay, especially if its makes you feel healthier and more well off. Happy to have you back :)
