A Few Favorites From SS16

I barely ever share photos taken from other sources because you'll see them everywhere but I just wanted to say that I've caught up with all of the fashion weeks and I've picked up my favorite ones which I'm sharing with you today.

To me all of them have something in common, they're either very minimalist or is there a modern 90's vibe happening here as well whichever is the case, I've been totally smitten and blown away by the four collections, you see I'm all into minimalism and finding such beautiful pieces like this make me first, want to wear them and second, believe in myself that I can also design simple yet beautiful minimal pieces in a future. I've been going through self-doubt and been so uninspired these days if you ask me. But that's not today's topic.

The DressedUndressed Collection from Tokyo Fashion Week: Was a very clean and minimalist collection, I love the first look from left to right (on top of this) it would be weird to wear a bra or is that a bikini top? either way that's not new nowadays, that trend came long time ago, and I remember an article from Man Repeller (read here) and also babe Andy from StyleScrapbook wearing a corsé, I know but that's similar to a bra, lol.

The Jil Sander Collection from MFW: Another clean yet minimalist collection, loved those hats and slippers ¿? the cut outs from the jackets and the loose silhouettes and well, everything about the collection itself. Jil Sander has been one of my favorites, so the designs never stop to amaze me.

The PushButton Collection from Seoul Fashion Week: I don't know where my love for Seoul, Korea came from, okay okay, I know, it was because of those Korean dramas I've been watching this year, truth to be told is that thanks to it, I fell in love one more time with a place I've never been to yet. I became quite obsessed with anything Korean, I would look for the korea hashtag over on my Instagram and ended up following a few Korean girls with a great sense and taste in fashion. There's something about there in Fashion that caught my attention, that I don't even know how to describe it but it would like their styles are so clean, simple and minimal yet some tend to wear lots of colorful things and make it look still that way, elegante and minimal, I don't know if I explained myself well but you get my point, and well, that's something I want to discover on my own one day. On the other side one of those many Korean IG accounts I follow is the Seoul Fashion Week, which I tried my best to catch up with most the time and this collection ended up being my all time favorite because hello, muted hues colors and I love how fresh the looks look like, and those flare/flowy things and those mule shoes, oh, I love them, I think they're like the traditional Korean shoe which platform is like square but with a modern look, I simply love it. I might be wrong but this is my perception of what I get and see. What do you think of that my Korean readers?! :-)

Last but no least, The Stella McCartney Collection from PFW: It was all about effortlessness, lots of color explosion as bold as her signature is, but these two looks were the ones that made my heart melt, because of their fluidity and elongated proportions in the conventional pieces.

It was not that hard to share my favorites from SS16, I hope you guys enjoyed this post as much as I did, because it's amazing how one picture can bounce off so many ideas and bring inspiration. I've gotten inspired by these looks, now, I just need to re-create them. ;-)

Until next time, see you guys soon! XO, Melissa
